Dear WLMHA Members,
The membership vote to proceed to Phase 2 of the proposed partnership between WLMHA, GMHA, and LMHA takes place on Tuesday November 6, 2018. Voting occurs between 5 pm and 9 pm at the West Lincoln Town Hall. OMHA officials will be present to count ballots at 9 pm.
For this vote, a simple majority of ballots cast is required to move forward to Phase 2.
On Thursday an information session was held and the minutes from this session (including the Q & A) are posted to our site.
Today, Sunday November 4, there will be a WLMHA representative in the upstairs hall at the arena between 1:30 and 5:30 pm to discuss the proposal and answer any additional questions you might have.
I believe it is important that WLMHA sees this process through to the next Phase. There have been a number of changes that have taken place in neighboring hockey communities. It is important that WLMHA is proactive in looking towards the future and continues to provide a high quality experience for all members. The current proposal does just that. It maintains a strong local league and hockey school/IP/tyke program while providing greater opportunities for WLMHA players at the rep level. The proposal as it stands provides equal representation at the board level from the three organizations while maintaining our own local WLMHA board.
The WLMHA Executive would like to see a strong showing of our membership as this vote will give us our mandate in how we proceed as an organization.
Please get out and vote.
Chris Freure
President, WLMHA
