WLMHA Announcement
Submitted By WLMHA President on Wednesday, October 10, 2018
WLMHA has been in discussions with Lincoln Minor Hockey and Grimsby Minor Hockey with regards to a single travel hockey program partnership.  This partnership would allow the individual centres to keep their hockey school, IP/Tyke, and house/local league hockey programs in place.

To All Members of West Lincoln Minor Hockey,

WLMHA operates with the mission to provide a safe, healthy and positive environment for our players. Within that framework, we focus on developing the skills of our players at all levels. Over the past several years we have had multiple challenges at the Rep level with team numbers and movement of player to other centers.

The WLMHA executive has been investigating options and possible solutions to these issues. We are now at a point in time where we would like to engage you, our membership, for your feedback. WLMHA will soon be posting a proposal in concept on our website outlining a partnership with Lincoln Minor Hockey and Grimsby Minor Hockey.

This partnership will allow all three centers to participate in one travel hockey organization while keeping our current hockey school, IP/Tyke and house/local league structure in place. A joint information night will be held (late October) by the three associations to take questions and feedback.  This also can be done via email by sending comments to [email protected]

In early November, a vote of confidence will be held at each association. This vote will determine if the associations proceed or not with the next steps of the partnership.

Date and time for both the information night and the vote of confidence will be posted on our website and emailed to all our members.

Sincerely,

Chris Freure

President, West Lincoln Minor Hockey Association
